I never was doubting Russian ingenuity.

My whole problem with Communism is that it stifles productivity because once you have the bare necessities, you don't go any further without any incentive, and to give the people any monetary or materialistic incentive would then upset the equality.

Yes, that is true Communism if followed by the book. We had the same discussion in 11th grade...one student said that it wouldn't matter if you are from school or flipping burgers you would make the same money. The teacher shot back saying " only in a true communist society." And we had the same discussion.

So, yeah, it is not just your problem, it is a fundamental and serious flaw with Communism. When the Russians and then the Chinese followed with Communism, they found great difficulty in founding perfect equality. The leaders of the revolution for example could never be equals to the common farmer though true Communism called for just that...and it went on from there. Soon enough, the natural order of things fell into place.

However, what they did get was not that much more...except the highest level of the party members.

I just like the idea of reaping what I sow. I should be able to have the option to work 3 jobs, bring in a 6-figure income, and spend that money as I please.

Absolutely.
