	| Still, the whole Lynne story is sketchy at best. It can't be proven or disproven if she really was telling the truth or just playing a horribly cruel joke on us.
It is wise to be skeptical, but surely there is still a part of you that wants to believe what Lynne said is true.

	| I know the Lynne story. I was there when the whole thing unfolded. I didn't take it as a slam against GunVixen, but more like a "re-open old wounds" kinda thing. Anyway, I don't want to get into it since it wasn't anything that was personal to me. But I'd just leave the subject matter alone if I were you and let the people who were personally involved work it out themselves if they want to.

	| I see.. thanks for the advice.. I totally forgot that I wasn't personally involved at all.. glad you reminded me..
Umbral_DelaFlare, you're right.. it is "sketchy at best".. but you have to admit that the story is a beauty.A chick who has an online relationship with someone, tells us (not them directly) that she just came down with lung cancer and has to go to the hospital tomorrow for a "live or die" surgery. The next day, (and for a week or so) her sister tells us that she died in the surgery, sorry for your loss, have a nice day.. for the next 3 weeks, three different accounts with the same IP as Lynne played on my server, logged in to my forums, etc.. We even subscribed to the vital statistics mail lists for Alberta, just to see when her name came across them; never did.. We even had a side joke in our admin group of "wait 6 months, she'll be back".. imagine our surprise about 5-6 months later when lynne magically appears from a vacation at her grandmothers house in seattle, where she was forbidden to use the internet; only to come home and find out that her sister was having a secret syber-sex affair with another community member, and was jealous of all her attention.. so as she was "recovering" from her surgery, she conveniently killed her off, and went about her business.. "Lets just forget about all that, I'm back now, okay"..

yea.. lol, "sketchy at best".. You honestly have no idea how many conversations we all had, how many posts I had backed her up on when people started calling her a liar earlier that summer, etc.. then I get a colostomy bag tossed in my lap.. you could say I was a little bitter about it all, I guess.

 Interesting info too....

The spooky thing about the Lynne fiasco is how deceptively intricate the internet persona was. In one hand, you have a person typically sharing one's life online and in the other hand, the same sharing is an elaborate web of mis-information developing a character that is dynamic and changes with the social forces from others.

Altogether intriguing, but unnerving too, to think about who would spend so much time on what would seem to be a psychology project?

EDIT: If you're having a hard time understanding, think about trust and faith. When those two are misplaced and backfires in your face, you remember. For some it's a matter of 'trick me once, shame on you, trick me twice, shame on me' while others, it's a whole other story.

	| I'm only going to tell you all this one more time. I've got no idea who the hell, Lynne is. You can continue to think that's who I am, but I'm not. Did, Lynne live in West Virginia? Because, that's where my IP is. You can check too if you like. I got nothing to do with this person. It's not who I am, and your all just going to have to learn to deal with that.
Sorry, I'm not anyone's girl friend back from the dead. I've never had lounge cancer, I don't have a sister having cyber sex affairs with people. I hate to disappoint, but it's just not happening here. Those picture's posted are who I am. Trust it or not, that's the truth.

	| I play guitar too, a standard Fender strat, nothin special, and an Epiphone Casino. I had a picture of them somewhere, but i'll have to take another some other time.
I'd post a picture of myself, but my girlfriend's got the only decent recent one. The other one i have is pretty bad, to say the least.

(still growing it) Also, it's interesting to see so many bass players on the forums. I play bass myself.

Yeah, that's sweet. I was going to go all-out with the hair, but the girlfriend likes it how it is now.

 | Aircraftkiller | | Oh, and the ".." doesn't help much either. Only a few people do that 66% elipsis, TankClash, msgtpain, Lynne, and a few others.

 |

I also do the ".." myself, though usually on AIM and other on-line forms of instant messaging rather than forums.

	| I seem to be the only percussionist, oh sorry, *drummer* in this place.
Oh, right, Yamaha DXTREME IIS electric set. My local communist laws prohibit me from using an acoustic set (the kind you picture when you think of a drum set) because they're loud as fuck. Hence, the electric set, silent, unless, of course, I hook it up to a few guitar amps.

 Sorry folks, no picture.

I'm not a drummer, but I know what a electric drum set is. Is there a difference between an acoustic one and a electric one? I mean, the way you play it. on a electric drumset you're just smashing on plastic.
