hey guys, at first when i installed renguard i got this problem, so i uninstalled it, and then renegade worked fine, but ever server was like
"must use renguard" etc. so i though what the heck, installed it again HOPING this error wouldnt happen again, but now everytime i play online, about 5 minutes ito the game renegade crashes, with a blue screen, with black line down the left side. like the BIOS screen, but only happens ever since i installed renguard, i cant get a printscree of it since, my whole computer crashes, and now whenever i start windows, it says microsoft has recovered from a serious error!  , im not angry at the people, just the fact i love renegade, and renguard screwed it up
Another annoying fact is that everyone else online renguard works for, why not me!

is your computer 2000 or XP? if it is i believe those computers generate error logs even if your computer freezes up. maybe you should search your computer for the error logs; i doubt they'll help though, they'll only tell you why windows itself crashed, maybe referencing your game causing an error.
i also have a problem of my renegade crashing after about half an hour of play while using renguard. but nothing else happens, my computer still works.

RenGuard does not interact with Renegade in any way.. It is just a wrapper around it, and starts it when requested.

If you get a blue screen, then it could be a memory error or Windows rot (where Windows slowly deteriorated and becomes crappy).

I highly doubt it is a problem with RenGuard, but I'll shoot anyway. *sighs* You did update Renegade before installing RenGuard, correct?
Wait, you don't know how to uninstall it yet you said you did in your post on CnC Source? So you uninstalled Renegade while RenGuard was still installed?

no i renamed game2.exe to game.exe and then uninstalled renegade, yet it still happens! it only happens after ive installed renguard at some point, it annoying, i cant play renegade with it uninstalled now, its completetly fucked my renegade up, and yes i did update it vesion 1.037, and after installed renguard used core patch 1, my renegadeis fucked now,im really pissed

RenGuard has a few problems with its code that could cause instability and ultimately a buffer overflow - leading to a desktop crash or a full memory dump depending on the Operating System and other small details.
It's not really something you can overcome unless you:
(1) Reinstall RenGuard (only if a bad installation was the problem
(2) Get more memory (to try to help your system fight the memory leaks)
(3) Wait for BHS to release a patch/update that fixes the memory leak.
I know this is the problem because I deal with these sorts of things for a living and I did a little investigating when I started getting more and more buffer overflows in the RenGuard client program.

whats all this crap about better memory, sorry guys but ive got a computer quicker than any other, best momory ever, can install anything, now renguard screwed it up, guys i know your trying to help but this isthe 5th time ive had to uninstall renegadeand re-install it cause of renguard, and it gets quite annoying even after the 2nd time (lol) i'll re-install renegade, install the patch 1.037, and no-cd crack, then install renguard, and CP1, hopefullly it willdo it if not, then thanks for trying though guys  cause i know renguard is a great program used by all, its just irritating being one of the few it doesnt work for  , anyways ill give it a go
