so i followed the installation guide and when i open renegade, i get the black screen along with the music playing. any suggestions?

If you installed Core Patch 2 after scripts.dll 3.x reinstall scripts.dll 3.x.

I had the same problem. Reinstalling the scripts did the wonder. My game is restored.
