Im currently trying to convert the Kerubim PLasma Projectile to Replace the Laser Rifles standard red laser projectile. Do I have to rename things or just rename the W3d files?

You can't replace the laser's projectile because it is set up in level edit, unlike most other weapons where the projectiles are either emitters or physical bullet models.

In order to change the laser's projectile you would need to edit your objects.ddb, and buy doing that you wont be able to play online.

However, I could be wrong about that as I've seen people edit things like the repairgun beam.
