I am not aware of a common issue like this. Doesn't the compatibility screen allow him to "continue anyway" or something like that? Do not use win98 compatibility since win98 is not supported by TT. You can try Win7 compatibility, but I doubt it will help.

Please provide screenshots of the compatibility message and the "file not found" message.
