And http://www.emule-project.net has been temprarily taken down because a virus is targeting it with a DDoS. Temporary link is http://www.emule-project.org .

Thanks a million. I got the program, and I am wondering which servers have most old and rare files, so that I don't have to look for them for ever.

It doesn't matter to what server you are connected, as you will get most sources through source exchange with other clients. The search function also searches the entire network, not just the server (unless you tell him to).

About the ports: you should be able to get High ID's if you forward the correct ports on your router.
