Okay so i thought after some consideration, i would install the latest Scripts.dll.
So i used Renegade Tool Manager and download the latest version. Then moved the download files to the Renegade directory. It asks me if i wanna overwrite the existing files and i say Yes to All and it overwrites all existing copies.
Now i think, thats that Renegade should be better and more efficient. So i start up Renegade and then WWConfig snaps in my face. I think "WTF!? P**s off." click Ok on it and then it gives me that dumb ass windows error. "We are sorry for the inconvenience" and asks me to send an error report.
Please guys, why does it give me this error. I just don't understand it. The latest and most advanced Scripts.dll should not give me these errors. I am very annoyed!
Why does it do this. I mean whenever i go to interact with the WWConfig when it pops up it crashes like that and give me the error.
I have downloaded the version before that now and it still don't work. It does not give me any trouble with the WWConfig but wants a newer version of DIRECT3D. So im downloading the latest version from Microsofts site.

No i didn't but i am pretty sure that it will cause the same problems.
Before i pursue this, having my Renegade now working after another Install but still not having the good map load speed and cool noises & sounds.
Does it give me what i want?
If i were to install this Scripts 3.4.4 will my maps load fast again, icons appear above character head when saying Radio commands and cool noises such as Nuke/Ion beacon countdowns by EVA?

You need core patch 1 and/or 2 for that. See the stickies in he core patch subforum.
They come with scripts 2.x.

I don't wanna annoy you here. Pretty pointless in me saying that but, anyways.
I aint going anywhere near those CPs(Core Patches).
Every time i install them my ingame Renegade font totally f**ks! It goes all wierd. I get icons above me head when saying Radio Commands but the map load is still crap and the cool noises aint there 
I dowloaded something once, it had scripts.dll, scripts2.dll, bhs.dll and keycfg.exe in it. It was NOT a core patch. Problem is i cant remember what the hell it was. It was from a .zip file and something to do with Renhelp.net.
Anyways. Does anyone else here experience the same problems with the CPs? Installing an update for game files should not change the font! Maybe some people like it. But i hate it.
So much so I just have to reinstall the game!

Sorry for posting in (kinda) old topic. The Tool Manager is the official download. It downloads everything just like a person would and just runs the patcher, I couldnt be bothered to have it download the entire files when it was faster to patch them. Any CP2 problems he gets cannot be caused from the Tool Manager, To prove it he can just run the patcher that was installed to his Renegade Directory, It will give him the same error because the patcher had a problem with something, Maybe he had CP1 before?

Okay. This Topic is fit to close...
I mean I uninstalled Renegade a few weeks ago.
(It was getting really boring and frustrating. I was near insanity!)
I am sure my problem was what you described PsuFan.
I had been messing with CP's before I think.
When I reinstall (In maybe a year. LOL  ) & when I come to the Fast Map load etc Updates and all that rubbish.
I will test your ToolManager first.
